After going to see the new Batman film, I was slightly disappointed. To be honest, I thought that Batman began as comic book. Therefore, I feel if one makes a Batman film it should stay true to the comic book. The Nolan films have yet to have any sort of “comic bookish feel.” This upsets me. I miss the the Burton films, which didn’t seem as “realistic” and by making Gotham City the darkest and bleakest city it stayed true to the original comic book.
I understand these new films are the beginnings of Batman and Gotham City. It is just hard for me to cope with. Nonetheless, Dark Knight was an entertaining film, which kept me on the edge of my seat.
